Justin Bieber's Shoe Sold on eBay!
Bieber’s Sneaker Sold For $1,425
Second time is a charm for the sale of Justin Bieber’s right sneaker. The autographed piece of footwear was sold on eBay last week for $1,425 to 52-year-old Jim Mitchell of Kitchener, Ontario.
The original sale, which occurred earlier in March, finished with a high bid of $5,500. That sale was voided though, after it was discovered that the Edmonton girl who won, did not have the permission of her parents to place the bid.
The sneaker was just half of the pair that Bieber donated to his former high school, Stratford Northwestern Secondary School, after signing each one.
The school put the item up for auction with goal of raising $3,000 for a broadcasting and communications studio. Plans for the second shoe have not yet been revealed.
This is not the first time Bieber’s name has drawn a large bid at an eBay auction. In February, Justin Bieber gave Ellen DeGeneres a lock of his hair in an autographed case when he appeared on her television show.
DeGeneres put the gift up for auction, along with the opportunity for the winner to meet Bieber the next time he is on her show. That auction, which ran for one week, successfully raised $40,688 for The Gentle Barn Foundation.
